Timothy Schaffert, Director. Schaffert is the author of the novels “The Phantom Limbs of the Rollow Sisters” (BlueHen/Putnam, 2002) and the forthcoming “The Singing and Dancing Daughters of God” (Unbridled Books). In reviewing his first novel, Janet Maslin of the New York Times called the book “blithe, quirky,” and wrote that his characters are “amusingly eccentric” and that, “like his characters, Mr. Schaffert grew up on a farm in Nebraska and seems to have cultivated a sense of exquisite boredom mixed with wry humor. … he displays an outlook well suited to the paradoxical.” timothy@omahalitfest.com

Justin Wolta, Creative Director. Wolta, designer of this website and all the Lit Fest’s promotional materials, has worked as production manager for The Reader, and as art director for Omaha Pulp (when it was an arts and culture weekly). His T-shirt design has been a bestseller at the LA boutique, Sunday Driver. He reviews music, culture, and the grim conditions of society at his website, Booze Is My Momma. justin@omahalitfest.com

Rodney Rahl, Logistics. General sales manager for Nebraska Furniture Mart, Rahl has organized a number of charity events, from art sales to readings. He is also the psychic wit behind the long-running horoscope, “Donita Sees Stars.” If you would like to offer your location for this Lit Fest, or future ones, please contact Rahl at rodney@omahalitfest.com.

Leslie Prisbell, Volunteer Coordinator. For years, Prisbell chronicled the often sadly satisfying Omaha nightlife in her cheeky and boozy, controversial, Dorothy Parker-esque column, “Bar Hag.” She has written about art and theater for national publications and has worked as an editor for the city’s alternative weeklies. She is currently writing her memoir, tentatively titled My Time in a Bottle. leslie@omahalitfest.com
